Experience Whaea Whenua

Make Tracks with us

Explore the authentic beauty of Northland by traversing through the bush. We will be making tracks around the Bream Head (Te Whara) track from Ocean Beach, Home Point or Urquharts Bay, and up to the Mt Manaia viewing platform. The summit views on these hikes are spectacular. They are challenging but invigorating, leaving you with a sense of peace and accomplishment on completion.

All guided hikes are on Department of Conservation tracks. Hiking options are weather dependent and may be adjusted to suit the experience level of hikers in the group. Hikes will range from two to three hours, up steep tracks to summit viewing areas, allowing time to enjoy the scenery as we hike. Each person will need to bring their own hiking gear: sturdy footwear, a small day pack, water bottle, sun protection (sun screen, hat, glasses etc), and a camera to capture the views. Please visit our terms and policies page for further information on hiking.
