Toru Pani Sanctuary weekend retreat is subject to minimum booking requirements. If the minimum is not met by 2 weeks prior to commencement, all persons will be fully refunded. Accommodation preferences are subject to availability and individual client requirements. 

Reservations are secured with a $250 NZD deposit via the booking page on this website. The balance monies due must be paid to Toru Pani Sanctuary by bank transfer or PayPal.

If payment of the balance is not received by the due date Toru Pani Sanctuary reserves the right to cancel the reservation and retain the deposit.

Toru Pani Sanctuary does not charge cancellation fees. Cancellations up to 5pm NZDT on 01/01/2017 can request a refund of the deposit paid. After this time the reservation deposit is non-refundable.

Please note that there will be no refunds or discounts for arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, travel delays or illness. Regretfully, we cannot compensate people for unforseen circumstances (injury, family emergency, etc), as we have costs already incurred when organising this retreat. To protect yourself from unforseen circumstances, we strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance.

Check in is from 4pm Friday,19th January 2018. Clients wishing to check in early/late may do so at the discretion of the managers at Toru Pani Sactuary, please contact to discuss any check in requirements.

If you have ANY medical concerns or requirements you must notify Toru Pani Sanctuary to discuss these before reserving your space. Medical certificates may be required in some circumstances. 

Yoga Alliance Registry’s Code of Conduct includes the following commitment, binding on all registrants: each registrant agrees to “acknowledge the limitations of my skills and scope of practice and where appropriate, refer students to seek alternative instruction, advice, treatment or direction.”

Terms of Service and Client Acknowledgement documents will be emailed to all participants prior to the retreat and must be filled in and returned at or before check in. These documents are to ensure the safety of the client and practitioners/teachers. All documentation is treated in adherence with our Privacy Policy.

Dietary requirements:

Strictly vegetarian meals will be served at Toru Pani Sanctuary. If you have specific dietary needs or allergies, please contact the managers at Toru Pani Sanctuary to discuss if this retreat is suitable for/is able to meet your dietary requirements.


All hikes are on Department of Conservation tracks. Hike locations are weather dependent and dependent on the experience/fitness level of clients of Toru Pani Sanctuary. Managers at Toru Pani Sanctuary reserve the right to change hikes at anytime to ensure safety and well-being of their clients. By booking this retreat you agree to come equipped with the necessary gear for hiking, this includes: sturdy footwear, hat, sunscreen, loose fitting long sleeve shirt, sun glasses, water bottle (750ml minimum capacity) and a day pack. 

Privacy Policy:

All information received from clients is treated as sensitive, clients and their information are not discussed or shared with third parties by Toru Pani Sanctuary.
